Many Contractors not having any work have jumped on to the storm damage repair bandwagon. The main tactic of these storm chasers is to get in the affected areas right away and get homeowners to sign contracts immediately before they have a chance to learn anything about these contractors. It is your right as a homeowner to reconsider any contract with in 3 days of signing it. So if you signed something in the stress of the moment following damage to your house you can nulify that contract if you feel it was to hasty a decision. I strongly recomend working with a local contractor that has references and has been around for at least 4 years.
